FAQ

MSME Loan FAQs

Yes! Under the CGTMSE scheme, registered MSMEs can get loans up to ₹2 crore without any collateral or third-party guarantee. The government provides credit guarantee to the bank. You need a valid Udyam Registration Certificate and good credit history.
MSME loans typically carry interest rates of 8–12% p.a. depending on the bank, scheme, and your credit profile. Under MUDRA scheme, rates start from 7.5% p.a. State government interest subsidy schemes can reduce your effective rate further by 3–5%.
Most bank loan schemes require GST registration for loans above ₹40 lakh. For smaller loans (MUDRA, CGTMSE up to ₹10 lakh), GST is not mandatory. However, having GST significantly improves your loan eligibility and the amount you can borrow.
